WEEK 24 -- May 2. Last class.

We made it!! Here we are at our last CCD email assignment!

The last assignment is Session 24 "Jesus Calls Us to Eternal Life" pgs 203-210. This chapter reviews how we all have hope of eternal life with God. It talks about the Assumption of the Blessed Mother Mary which is when her body and soul was taken into Heaven. We celebrate the Feast of the Assumption on Aug 15th. Through Mary, we know that those who serve God can look forward to eternal life with him!

I also want to mention that May is the month of Mary! May is when we crown the blessed Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven! This is usually done during First Holy Communion ceremonies which take place in May. Some of you probably remember this when you received First Holy Communion!

If we were together in class, I would have asked you all to bring in rosary beads and we would pray the rosary together! Since we are not, I ask that at some point , during the month of May, you pray the rosary with your family!

I hope we can return to class in person in September! If so, I will come visit you all in your 8th grade classrooms!!

Have a great rest of the school year and a wonderful summer!! Get outside today and enjoy the sunshine
